The drug is effective in otodectosis, sarcoptosis, notohedrosis, demodicosis. The composition of the drug includes amitraz - an acaricide of the amidine group, active against sarcoptoid mites (Otodektes spp., Psoroptes, Notoedres cati), as well as Demodex spp. Amitraz acts by contact, disrupting the octopamine receptors of the nervous system of ticks, which causes paralysis and death of parasites, negatively affects the reproductive organs of female ticks, reducing the production of eggs and their viability.
How to use: With otodectosis, 2-3 drops of the drug are instilled into the external auditory canals of both ears (even if only one is affected). Previously, the ear canals are cleaned of scabs and crusts with a tampon soaked in the preparation, to fully treat the surface of the ear, the auricle is folded in half lengthwise and lightly massaged. Treatment is carried out once a day until the disappearance of clinical signs of the disease (6-8 treatments).
In case of demodicosis, sarcoptosis, notohedrosis and psoroptosis, the drug is applied with the help of a cotton-gauze tampon in a thin layer to the affected areas of skin previously cleaned of superficial scabs and crusts, from the periphery to the center at the rate of 0.5 ml per 1 kg of the animal's body weight. Treatment is carried out 6-8 times once a day, until the disappearance of clinical signs of the disease, the interval between treatments is 2-3 days.
Additionally, healthy skin around the affected areas with a width of at least 1 cm is treated. Animals with large areas of skin damage are treated in two doses with an interval of one day, applying the drug to the affected areas, first on one and then on the other half of the animal's body.
