Ceva FELIWAY Classic — FELIWAY pheromone spray for calming cats and relieving stress

Ceva FELIWAY Classic Spray is a pheromone spray designed to support cats’ emotional comfort during travel, veterinary visits, moving home, and other unfamiliar or stressful situations. The product helps create a sense of a familiar and safe environment, helping reduce stress-related behavioural signs.

The spray contains a synthetic analogue of the F3 fraction of the natural feline facial pheromone. Cats naturally leave these signals on objects by rubbing them with their faces when they feel calm and secure. FELIWAY Classic reproduces a similar reassuring message and helps cats adapt more easily to changes.

Unlike a diffuser, the spray is intended for local application to carriers, bedding, furniture, and other surfaces. It is convenient for use at home and while travelling.

Active component:

The pheromone signal is species-specific: it is perceived by cats but has no calming effect on people or dogs.

Directions for use during travel:

• apply 8–10 sprays inside the carrier, onto bedding, a blanket, or surfaces inside the car
• treat the carrier at least 15 minutes before placing the cat inside
• allow the alcohol base to evaporate completely before use
• during long journeys, reapply every 4–5 hours as needed
• always remove the cat from the carrier before reapplying the spray

Directions for use at home:

• clean areas marked with urine or scratching beforehand
• apply 8–10 sprays directly to the required area
• treat the surface once or twice daily
• continue use until the unwanted behavioural signs decrease
• after application, wait at least 15 minutes before allowing the cat to approach the treated surface

Before applying the product to fabric, furniture, or other delicate materials, test it on a small, inconspicuous area.

Duration of action:
the effect of one application lasts approximately 4–5 hours. The response to the pheromone signal may vary depending on the individual cat and the specific situation.

Volume and number of applications:

• the 20 ml bottle provides approximately 16 applications
• the 60 ml bottle provides approximately 50 applications
• one application consists of approximately 8 sprays

Do not apply the spray:

• directly onto the cat or its coat
• inside the carrier while the animal is inside
• into the air around the cat
• onto a scratching post, as this may discourage the cat from using it
• onto food or water bowls, food, water, chew toys, or the animal’s mucous membranes

Important information:

• the spray is not intended to treat travel sickness
• the product does not address medical causes of urination outside the litter tray, excessive grooming, hiding, or reduced appetite
• the spray does not replace a clean litter tray, an accessible scratching post, or proper living conditions
• another specialised product from the FELIWAY range may be required for conflict between cats
• consult a veterinarian if the cat’s behaviour changes suddenly

For support throughout the entire room, it is recommended to use the FELIWAY Classic diffuser in addition to the spray, while applying the spray locally to specific surfaces or during travel.

Warnings:
do not spray directly onto the animal. Do not allow the cat to approach the treated area for at least 15 minutes after application. Avoid contact with the eyes, mucous membranes, food, and water.

Storage conditions:
store in the original packaging in a dry place out of reach of children and pets. Use before the expiry date indicated on the bottle.
