The animal’s body produces enzymes to break down fats, carbohydrates, and proteins obtained from food. In cases of pancreatic disease, the amount of produced enzymes decreases (enzymatic insufficiency), and it becomes necessary to compensate for the missing enzymes.
Dolfos AmylaDol contains natural enzymes: lipase, amylase, and protease. The amount of lipase in a tablet significantly exceeds the amount of amylase and protease — this is because in pancreatic diseases, the level of lipase decreases much faster than amylase and protease.
Dolfos AmylaDol is recommended for digestive disorders in cats and dogs related to chronic pancreatic insufficiency.
Features and Benefits:
- contains amylase — an enzyme that breaks down starch into oligosaccharides;
- lipase — an enzyme that, together with bile in the stomach, breaks down fats, fatty acids, and fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, K, converting them into energy and heat;
- protease — a pancreatic enzyme that breaks peptide bonds between amino acids in proteins;
- ensures effective digestion of fats, proteins, and carbohydrates;
- recommended for cats that suffer from or are prone to pancreatitis;
- for digestive disorders;
- as monotherapy for maldigestion syndrome (nausea, diarrhea, flatulence, burping, abdominal discomfort).
