A modern means of prevention and destruction of fleas, ticks, fleas and lice in cats, dogs and ferrets.
Composition:
Fiprist Combo in 1 ml as an active substance contains fipronil - 100 mg and S-methoprene - 90 mg (for dogs) or 120 mg (cats and ferrets), as well as auxiliary substances : povidone K25, polysorbate 80, butylhydroxyanisole (E320), butylhydroxytoluene (E321), ethanol, diethylene glycol monoethyl ether.
Pharmacological properties:
After applying to the skin, the active substances are gradually distributed over the entire surface of the animal's body within 24 hours, practically not being absorbed into the systemic bloodstream, accumulate in the epidermis, hair follicles and sebaceous glands, provide a long-lasting contact action, providing protection of the animal from ectoparasites.
A single treatment of an animal ensures the destruction of fleas and ticks within 24 and 48 hours, respectively. The protective effect of the drug against ixodid ticks continues in cats, dogs and ferrets – up to 4 weeks; against sexually mature and pre-imaginal phases of insect development - in cats and ferrets up to 6 weeks, in dogs – up to 12 weeks.
Order of application:
Fiprist Combo is applied to animals once by topical application (spot-on) on dry, undamaged skin, using pipettes of different packaging. Before processing, the tip of the pipette is punctured with an inverted cap, the animal's fur in the back area (between the shoulder blades) is pushed apart and, pressing the pipette, the drug is applied to the skin in the withers area in one or more dots.
The drug can be used in pregnant and lactating bitches and pregnant cats. The drug is not recommended for lactating cats with kittens younger than 8 weeks of age. There are no data on the safety of using the drug in lactating and pregnant female ferrets, so the drug is used in this group of animals under the supervision of a veterinarian.
The drug is applied to animals on the part of the body inaccessible for licking, avoiding contact of the drug with the eyes. Animals living together are kept separately until the preparation is completely dry. Do not wash animals with detergents, allow them to access natural water bodies within 48 hours after treatment, and also apply the drug to wet or damaged skin.
Contraindications:
A contraindication to use is the increased individual sensitivity of the animal to the ingredients of the drug (including in the anamnesis). The use of Fiprista Combo is prohibited for patients with infectious diseases and weakened animals, puppies and kittens younger than 8 weeks of age, dogs weighing less than 2 kg, kittens weighing less than 1 kg and ferrets less than 6 months old.
