ProVET Akarostop — acaricidal drops for dogs and cats, 10 ml

ProVET Akarostop is an acaricidal preparation in drop form for treating dogs, cats and rabbits with otodectosis, sarcoptosis, notoedrosis and demodicosis. The active substance amitraz is an acaricide of the amidine group, active against sarcoptoid mites (Otodectes spp., Psoroptes, Notoedres cati) and Demodex spp. Amitraz acts by contact, disrupting the octopamine receptors of the mites’ nervous system, causing paralysis and death of the parasites.

How to use:
For otodectosis, instill 2–3 drops into the external auditory canals of both ears (even if only one is affected). First clean the ear canals of scabs and crusts with a tampon soaked in the preparation; fold the auricle in half lengthwise and massage gently. Treat once a day until clinical signs disappear (6–8 treatments). For demodicosis, sarcoptosis, notoedrosis and psoroptosis, apply the preparation with a cotton-gauze tampon in a thin layer to pre-cleaned affected skin areas at a rate of 0.5 ml per 1 kg of body weight, with an interval of 2–3 days.

Composition:
1.0 ml of the preparation contains the active substance: amitraz — 3.0 mg, as well as excipients.

Contraindications:
Individual sensitivity of animals to the components. Do not use in pregnant and lactating females, or in puppies and kittens under 2 months of age.
