Triosan is a combined preparation in the form of a cream for cats and dogs for skin diseases of allergic, bacterial and fungal etiology. Its pharmacological action is due to three active substances: ciprofloxacin, dexamethasone and clotrimazole.
Advantages:
- a combined anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, antibacterial and antifungal preparation
- ciprofloxacin — a fluoroquinolone antibiotic with a fast bactericidal action
- dexamethasone — a potent glucocorticoid with anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic and anti-pruritic action
- clotrimazole exhibits a pronounced antifungal action
Indications:
- skin diseases of allergic and bacterial etiology with pronounced hyperemia, edema, exudate infiltration (E. coli, Salmonella spp., Pasteurella spp., Bordetella spp., Klebsiella spp., Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus spp., Mycoplasma spp. and others)
- fungal skin diseases: dermatophytosis (Microsporum canis, Trichophyton rubrum, Trichophyton mentagrophytes), candidiasis (Candida albicans), lesions caused by the yeast fungus Malassezia furfur
Method of application:
- before use, the hair on the affected area is clipped, after which the cream is applied locally 2 times a day (morning and evening) in a thin layer, gently rubbing it in
- when the clinical condition improves, the drug is applied once a day; the treatment course is usually 2-4 weeks (no more), with a break of at least 20 days between repeated courses
- do not allow the animals to lick off the preparation, or it to get into the eyes or onto open wound areas
Contraindications and precautions:
- hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation
- with prolonged use, side effects are possible (suppression of adrenal cortex function)
Composition (per 1 ml):
ciprofloxacin hydrochloride 10 mg, clotrimazole 10 mg, dexamethasone sodium phosphate (in terms of dexamethasone) 0.64 mg, excipients.
Storage conditions:
In a dry, dark place inaccessible to children at a temperature from 5 to 25 °C.
