Ukrzoovetprompostach Colaflox — antibacterial wound-healing ointment for dogs and cats

Colaflox is a preparation in the form of an ointment for treating wounds and burns in cats and dogs. The active substances are enrofloxacin and methyluracil.

Advantages:

• enrofloxacin has a bactericidal effect on gram-negative and gram-positive microorganisms
• methyluracil accelerates regeneration, promotes wound healing, boosts local immunity and has an anti-inflammatory effect
• the polyethylene oxide base adsorbs wound exudate, speeding up healing
• exhibits strong dehydrating properties, reduces perifocal edema and cleanses the wound of purulent-necrotic content

Indications:

Treatment of cats and dogs in the first phase of the wound process: infected wounds, burns, local purulent-inflammatory processes, frostbite, purulent-necrotic ulcers in the area of the toes caused by microorganisms sensitive to enrofloxacin (Staphylococcus spp., Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae, E. coli, Salmonella typhimurium, Pasteurella spp., Bordetella spp., Klebsiella spp., Mycoplasma spp.).

Method of application:

• apply a thin layer to the damaged skin surface or onto a gauze pad, and also use for dressings 1-2 times a day
• dressings are performed daily until the wounds are completely cleansed of purulent-necrotic masses and granulations appear
• recommended course — 14 days; do not allow the animal to lick off the ointment

Contraindications:

• hypersensitivity to fluoroquinolones and/or methyluracil
• use during pregnancy and lactation — only with the approval and under the supervision of a veterinarian

Composition (per 100 g):
methyluracil 3 g, enrofloxacin 1 g, excipients (PEG-1500, PEG-400, glycerin, collagenase, purified water).

Storage conditions:
In a dry, dark place inaccessible to children and animals at a temperature from 5 to 25 °C.
