Unisan is an antiseptic ointment for the treatment of all types of bacterial and fungal skin diseases in dogs and cats.
Indications:
Skin staphylococcosis, all types of pyoderma, impetiginous eczema, skin candidiasis, dermatomycoses (trichophytosis, microsporia), seborrhea, otitis externa, purulent wounds, superficial abscesses, burns and other skin diseases caused by bacterial and fungal microflora (Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Candida spp., Microsporum, Trichophyton and others).
Method of administration:
Apply a thin layer of ointment to the affected skin area 1–2 times a day until full recovery. The duration depends on the type of pathological process but no less than 2–3 days after clinical signs disappear. For fungal diseases, apply for 7–10 days after signs disappear. For purulent wounds and abscesses, soak gauze pads with the ointment and fill the wound; change dressings daily until fully cleaned.
Contraindications:
- individual hypersensitivity to chlorhexidine
- avoid contact of the ointment with the eye mucosa
- do not use simultaneously with iodine preparations
