OKERO antiparasitic tablet for cats – a parasiticide in the form of tablets, used for the prevention and treatment of cats and kittens against ectoparasites (arthropods: fleas, hairworms, lice, mites, etc.), as well as against endoparasites (nematodes, cestodes).
COMPOSITION
100 mg of the drug contains:
- active substances: lufenuron 10 mg, nitenpyram 3 mg, selamectin 0.3 mg, praziquantel 5 mg;
- excipients: artificial flavoring, microcrystalline cellulose, hydroxypropyl cellulose, croscarmellose sodium, colloidal silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate, lactose.
INDICATION
The drug is prescribed to cats for the treatment and prevention of damage:
- by fleas;
- hair eaters;
- lice;
- sarcoptoid mites: (ear (otodectosis), scabies (sarcoptosis), subcutaneous (notohedrosis);
- thrombidiform mites: demodicosis;
- digestive nematodes: causing toxocarosis, hookworm, uncinariasis, trichurosis, strongyloidiasis;
- respiratory tract nematodes;
- cestodes in the preimaginal and imaginal stages;
Prevention of allergic flea dermatitis.
Prevention of dirofilariasis: Dirofilaria spp. (microdirofilaria L3 and L4 stages).
APPLICATION
The drug is intended for oral use. Flavoring with the taste of salmon contributes to better eating of the drug by animals. If the tablet is not taken voluntarily by animals, it can also be given with food or directly in the mouth.
One-time use of tablets against fleas, allergic flea dermatitis prevents re-infestation for 4-6 weeks. The insecticidal effect of the drug is manifested after 24 hours, reaching the maximum level after 48 hours.
For helminthiasis of animals for therapeutic purposes, the drug is used once according to indications; with a strong degree of infestation, it is recommended to repeat the treatment after 10-14 days. For preventive purposes, the drug is used in a therapeutic dose once every 3 months.
CAUTIONS
Do not use in kittens under 6 weeks of age and weighing up to 0.5 kg.
Do not use in exhausted animals and patients with infectious diseases!
The possibility of using the drug during pregnancy and lactation is determined by the doctor of veterinary medicine, taking into account the possible risks.
The drug should not be used with other antiparasitic agents containing macrocyclic lactones, as well as with piperazine and drugs that inhibit cholinesterase.
