Treatment and prevention of siphonapterosis (Ctenocephalides canis)
- A single application of the product prevents future flea infestation for up to 4 weeks. It is advisable to combine animal treatment with treatment of the animal's environment and bedding to break the flea life cycle. For combined treatment of flea allergic dermatitis, the product is applied monthly.
Treatment of trichodectosis (Trichodectes canis), linognathosis (Linognathus setosus)
- Apply the product once. A veterinary examination is recommended 30 days after application, as in some cases a repeated treatment may be necessary.
Treatment of otodectosis (Otodectes cynotis)
- Apply the product once. A veterinary examination is recommended 30 days after application, as in some cases a repeated treatment may be necessary. Do not apply directly into the ear canal.
Treatment of sarcoptic mange (Sarcoptes scabiei var. canis)
- Apply the product twice, one dose with an interval of 4 weeks.
Treatment of demodicosis (Demodex canis)
- Treat with the product every 4 weeks for 2-4 months, leading to noticeable improvement in mild to moderate cases. Severe cases may require longer treatment: 2-4 applications at one-week intervals. In all cases, treatment continues until the results of 2 consecutive monthly laboratory skin scrapings are negative. If no improvement is observed within 2 months, discontinue use and, as recommended by a veterinarian, switch to an alternative treatment. Since demodicosis is a multifactorial disease often complicated by pyoderma and dermatophytosis, it is advisable to conduct complex therapy to normalize skin function, hormonal balance, hair growth, and immunity.
Prevention of heartworm disease of the heart, pulmonary artery, other blood vessels (D. immitis) and subcutaneous dirofilariasis (D. repens)
- Consider that animals may already be infected with mature helminths. For prevention, apply the product monthly on the same day throughout the year. Begin application 1 month before the expected appearance of blood-sucking insects (various mosquito genera: Anophelex, Culex, Aedex and fleas) and continue for 1 month after the end of the insect season. When switching from another heartworm preventive to "Prinocate Spot-on for dogs", the first application should be made 1 month after the last dose of the previous product.
Treatment of microfilariae infestation (D. immitis)
- Apply the product monthly for 2 consecutive months.
Treatment of microfilariae infestation (D. repens)
- Apply the product monthly for 4 consecutive months.
Treatment of subcutaneous dirofilariasis (mature nematodes Dirofilaria repens)
- Apply the product monthly for 6 consecutive months.
Treatment and prevention of angiostrongylosis (Angiostrongylus vasorum)
