Stronghold Plus is a broad-spectrum parasite remedy for cats, released in the form of drops on the withers (spot-on). The drug can be prescribed from the 8th week of age of the animal, and its effect lasts for 4-5 weeks. The drug can be used in animals with a body weight of at least 1.25 kg.

Stronghold Plus is effective against a number of external parasites, kills adult fleas, ear mites and lice. It also kills many types of ticks, including Ixodes hexagonus, Dermacentorreticulatus and Rhipicephalus sanguineus.
When used as directed, Stronghold Plus treats roundworms and hookworms, thereby preventing cardiovascular disease. It is an ideal means for the prevention of heartworms (heartworms).

The main active ingredient of the drug Stronghold Plus is selamectin, which destroys adult fleas and stops the incubation of eggs. The active components of the drug are also active against other parasites affecting the animal's body. Stronghold Plus can be used to remove ear mites, scabies mites and to destroy a number of helminths (heart-attacking heartworms, roundworms, toxocar, and other tapeworms), to treat allergic flea dermatitis (in complex therapy)

Application of Stronghold Plus:

The convenient dosage form (drops) does not cause problems with application: the drops are applied along the spine from the withers to the animal's body. After application, the drops dry quickly and do not leave an unpleasant smell, they are moisture-resistant, and the animal can be bathed already 2 hours after applying the drops.

The dosage of the drug is calculated depending on the weight of the animal. This drug is non-toxic for cats and dogs and can be used from the age of eight weeks.

1) to destroy fleas and ticks
During the first day after application, the drug destroys all fleas, and then protects against re-infection for a month. Adult fleas and ticks that are on the animal die. The drug disrupts the ability of fleas to lay viable eggs and destroys the larvae that are in the animal's habitat. This destroys the breeding cycle of fleas and allows you to control the pollution of the animal's habitat. To avoid infestations, the drug should be used once a month during the period of activity of fleas and ticks. When using the drug in the treatment of flea allergic dermatitis, the drug is used at monthly intervals.

2) for the treatment of toxocarosis and hookworm
Worm infestations, ankylostomosis and toxocariasis, are treated with a single application of the product. The necessity and frequency of repeated treatment must be clarified with the veterinarian who prescribes the drug.

3) for the treatment of otodectosis
In the case of ear mite (otodectosis), the drops are applied once to the withers area, and if necessary, the procedure is repeated after a month. It is necessary to clean the cat's ear canal from crusts, plaque, sulfur and pus (if any) and regularly clean the ears in the future.

4) for the treatment of pediculosis
The drug is used once. Consult a veterinarian before use.

5) prevention of heartworm disease
For the prevention of heartworm disease, the drug is used regularly, once every 4-5 weeks, starting a month before the onset of mosquito activity and ending a month after the insects stop flying. If the drug was not applied in a timely manner, it is applied immediately as soon as the opportunity arises, which will minimize the possibility of the development of sexually mature heartworms.

When using drugs with another active component, Stronghold Plus can be used after a one-month break

Contraindications:

• The drug is not recommended for use in animals younger than 8 years oldand weeks and with a body weight of less than 1.25 kg
