Description

Composition

1 ml of the product contains the active substance: hydrocortisone aceponate — 0.584 mg. Excipients: propylene glycol, methyl ether.

Details

Corticosteroids for dermatological use.

Description

Hydrocortisone is a dermocorticoid with potent glucocorticoid activity. It has anti-inflammatory, anti-edematous, and antiallergic properties.

It belongs to the class of glucocorticosteroid diesters — lipophilic substances capable of penetrating deep into the skin.

Hydrocortisone aceponate is rapidly absorbed from the dog's skin surface, accumulates within the skin, and exerts a local anti-inflammatory effect even at low doses.

It is excreted from the body through urine and feces.

Indications

Treatment of inflammatory and allergic dermatoses in dogs.

Contraindications

Do not use in the presence of skin ulcers.

Side effects

In rare cases, erythema may occur.

Use during pregnancy and lactation

The safety of use during pregnancy and lactation has not been established. Use is permitted only if the expected benefit outweighs potential risks, as assessed by a veterinary professional.

Interactions

Concurrent use with other topical treatments is not recommended.

Method of administration

For external use only. Insert the spray nozzle into the bottle before use.

Spray the affected area of skin from a distance of approximately 10 cm to ensure even coverage.

The recommended dose is 1.52 mcg of hydrocortisone aceponate per cm² of skin per day (equivalent to two presses of the dispenser for a 10×10 cm area). Treatment course: 7 days. If no improvement occurs, the treatment plan should be reassessed.

Avoid spraying into the animal’s eyes. Massage after application is not necessary.

Overdose

No signs of overdose were observed when the recommended dose and duration were followed. Even at 2–5 times the dosage and treatment duration, no symptoms of overdose were noted. Reduced cortisol levels returned to normal within 7–9 weeks after treatment ended.

Special warnings

None.

Withdrawal period

Not applicable.

Precautions

Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Do not inhale vapors. Wash hands after use. Do not spray near open flames or hot surfaces. Flammable. Use in well-ventilated areas. Do not smoke during application.
