The drug is highly effective against larval and mature fleas, lice, hair eaters, ixod and acariform ticks. The composition of the drug includes fipronil, which acts on the receptors of the nervous system of ectoparasites, causing paralysis and subsequent death, but without affecting the central nervous system of mammals.
Method of application:
- The drug is used externally. Processing of animals is carried out in the open air or in a well-ventilated room. Before processing, shake the bottle thoroughly and direct the stream of the drug onto the body of the animal from a distance of 10-15 cm.
- The drug is applied to the entire surface of the animal's body, against hair growth, so that it gets not only on the hair, but also on the skin at the rate of 3-6 ml per 1 kg of body weight by pressing the piston of the sprayer – 7 pressures (1 ml) for bottles with a capacity of 100 and 250 ml. It is recommended to treat the pads of the animal's paws as well.
- When treating the head and areas around the eyes, the drug is applied to the hand in a glove and rubbed into the skin of the animal, so that the drug does not get on the mucous membranes.
- In otodectosis of animals, the inner surface of the auricle and the external auditory canal are cleaned of earwax, scabs and exudate, after which the drug is sprayed into both ears, even if only one is affected, 0.5 ml each (3-4 pressures). To evenly distribute the drug, the auricle is closed and a light massage is performed. Processing is carried out 2-3 times with an interval of 7-10 days.
- In case of sarcaptosis, notohedrosis, and cheiletiosis, the drug is applied to the affected areas of the body that have been previously cleaned of scabs, covering up to 1 cm of bordering healthy skin, at the rate of 1 ml (7 pressures) per 10 cm2 of the affected area of the animal's body. Treatment is carried out 2-4 times with an interval of 7-10 days until the clinical recovery of the animals, which is confirmed by two negative results of acarological studies.
- In order to prevent damage to animals by ectoparasites, it is necessary to periodically treat their places of stay (dog houses, cages, etc.) and care items (bedding, blankets, etc.) at the rate of 2 ml (14 pressures) of the drug per 1 m2.
