A drug of a wide spectrum of action against intestinal, as well as heart, lung and eye helminths.
Testimony
Prescribed for the treatment and prevention of nematodes, cestodes and associative nematode-cestodes infestations caused by both larval forms and sexually mature cestodes and nematodes of the following species: cestodes - Dipylidium caninum, Taenia spp., Echinococcus multilocularis; nematodes - Ancylostoma tubaeforme, Toxocara cati, Dirofilaria immitis (disease prevention).
Dosage
The drug is applied to cats once during feeding with a small amount of food or is forcibly injected at the root of the tongue after feeding a minimum therapeutic dose of 2 mg of milbemycin oxime and 5 mg of praziquantel per 1 kg of the animal's weight.< /p>
- 2–4 kg - 1/2 tablets;
- 4– 8 kg - 1 tablet;
- 8–12 kg - 1+1/2 tablets.
The drug can be used in pregnant and lactating animals. The drug should not be used in kittens younger than 6 weeks of age and weighing less than 0.5 kg.
A previous fasting diet and the use of laxatives before deworming is not required.
For therapeutic purposes, cats are dewormed according to indications, for preventive purposes - quarterly, as well as before each vaccination and spaying in a therapeutic dose. A single dose of the drug for deworming protects cats against Dirofilaria immitis infection for one month. For further prevention of heartworm disease, it is advisable to use a drug containing one active substance, milbemycin oxime.
Contraindications
Contraindications for use are the individual increased sensitivity of the animal to the components of the drug (including in the anamnesis), pronounced disorders of kidney and liver function. Exhausted animals and animals suffering from infectious diseases are not subject to deworming.
