Milprazon for Dogs — Broad-Spectrum Deworming Tablets
Milprazon is a comprehensive anthelmintic treatment for dogs, effective against adult worms and their larvae. Suitable for the prevention and treatment of nematode, cestode, and mixed infestations. Can be used in puppies from 2 weeks of age weighing at least 0.5 kg, as well as adult dogs of all breeds.
The tablets are meat-flavored to ensure easy administration with food.
Composition and dosage forms:
For puppies and dogs up to 5 kg:
Milbemycin oxime — 2.5 mg
Praziquantel — 25 mg
For dogs over 5 kg:
Milbemycin oxime — 12.5 mg
Praziquantel — 125 mg
Excipients: microcrystalline cellulose, croscarmellose sodium, povidone, lactose monohydrate, colloidal silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate, meat flavoring, yeast powder.
Indications:
- Nematodes: Ancylostoma caninum, Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina, Trichuris vulpis, Thelazia callipaeda; Angiostrongylus vasorum, Crenosoma vulpis;
- Cestodes: Dipylidium caninum, Taenia spp., Echinococcus spp., Mesocestoides spp.;
- Heartworms: Dirofilaria immitis (prevention of heartworm disease).
Directions for use:
Administer once during feeding or directly onto the back of the tongue after feeding at a minimum dose of 0.5 mg milbemycin oxime and 5 mg praziquantel per kg of body weight.
No fasting or use of laxatives is required before treatment.
Side effects:
Generally well tolerated. In rare cases, lethargy, ataxia, tremors, vomiting, or diarrhea may occur. Overdose symptoms typically resolve spontaneously within 24 hours.
Contraindications:
- puppies under 2 weeks of age and weighing less than 0.5 kg
- severe liver or kidney dysfunction
- known hypersensitivity to ingredients
- debilitated or infectious animals
