Vetoquinol Aluspray — aluminium spray for the protection and care of wounds in domestic and farm animals
Vetoquinol Aluspray is a convenient antiseptic spray that forms a dense silver protective film of micronized aluminium on the wound surface. This film shields the affected area from environmental exposure, prevents recontamination, helps dry the wound and supports natural healing processes.
The spray is suitable for dogs, cats, rodents, rabbits, horses, cattle, pigs, sheep and other animals. It can be used for minor everyday injuries as well as for post-operative wound care.

Composition and presentation:
Active ingredient: aluminium powder.
Excipients:
- liquid paraffin,
- liquefied petroleum ether (carrier).
Form: a silver-coloured suspension for external use in aluminium aerosol cans.
Volume: 210 ml (nominal can volume; concentrate volume — 127 ml).
Pharmacological properties:
The aerosol forms a thin yet dense protective film that:
- isolates the wound from external factors;
- prevents microorganisms from entering the affected area;
- helps maintain cleanliness of the damaged tissue;
- supports microflora balance and natural healing.
The product can be used for wounds, scratches, abrasions, skin injuries and post-surgical wound care.
Directions for use:
- Clean the area of dirt, exudate and necrotic tissue before application.
- Shake the can well.
- Spray from a distance of 20–25 cm for 1–2 seconds.
- Allow 3 minutes for the film to form.
- Prevent the animal from licking the treated area.
- Use 1–2 times daily; duration depends on the wound condition but should not exceed 10 consecutive days.
Side effects:
Normally not observed. If irritation occurs, discontinue use and rinse the treated area.
Contraindications:
individual hypersensitivity to the components.
Special precautions:
- When treating the head area, protect the animal’s eyes.
- Do not spray near open flames or heating appliances.
- Avoid heating the can above 50 °C.
- In case of emergency slaughter, the treated area must be removed.
Storage conditions:
Store in a dry, dark place at 15–20 °C, out of reach of children. Shelf life — 3 years.
