Liquid cosmetic and hygienic product for animal ear care
Composition
1 ml of the drug contains:
active substance: polymyxin B – 10,000 IU, neomycin sulfate – 5,000 IU, lidocaine hydrochloride – 40.0 mg, sulfirem – 50.0 mg, dexamethasone sodium phosphate – 1 mg, an extract of marigolds - 10.0 mg, chamomile extract – 10.0 mg, ochanka extract – 10.0 mg.
excipients: polysorbate 20 (E432), sorbitan laurate (E493), dimethylsulfoxide-propylene glycol up to 1 ml.
Pharmacological properties
Polymyxin B – a polypeptide antibiotic that belongs to the group of polymyxins. It affects the cytoplasmic membrane of the microorganism, interacting with phospholipids. This leads to a violation of membrane permeability. Polymyxin B – active against Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Proteus spp.
Neomycin – aminoglycoside antibiotic with a broad spectrum of bactericidal action against gram-negative and gram-positive microorganisms: Escherichia coli, Klebsiella spp., Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Proteus spp., Salmonella spp., Streptococcus spp., Staphylococcus aureus.
The mechanism of action consists in inhibition of protein synthesis in the microbial cell.
Sulfirem has an antiparasitic effect against the ear mite Otodectis cynotis and a fungicidal effect against the yeast Malassezia pachydermatis (Pityrosporum canis).
Lidocaine inhibits the sensitive nerve endings of the skin and mucous membranes, that is, it causes a reversible inhibition of the conductivity of tissue elements of nerve cells (neuron, axon, synapses). Violates the function of potential-dependent sodium channels, reduces sodium entering the cell, prevents the formation of an action potential and the conduction of an impulse.
The flower tip contains carotenoids (carotene, lycopene, violaxanthin, citraxanthin, rubixanthin, flavochrome), flavonoids (narcisin, rhamnetin, isorhamnetin-3-triglucoside, isoquercitrin), essential oil, saponins, calendula bitter substance, resinous and tannic substances, mucilage, inulin, organic acids (malic, salicylic, pentadecylic), phytosterol, enzymes, vitamin C, alkaloids. This complex of biologically active substances has an anti-inflammatory, wound-healing, bactericidal effect, accelerates tissue regeneration processes.
Daisy flowers – biologically active substances have a pain-relieving, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic effect, reduce allergic reactions, enhance regeneration processes
Ochanka flowers and leaves – contain essential and fatty oils, flavonoids, tannins, coumarins, glycosides, anthocyanins, as well as vitamins.
Ochanka flowers and leaves have a positive effect on visual acuity, reduce inflammatory processes, even have a therapeutic and preventive effect on degenerative-dystrophic processes in the eye membrane, as well as reduce puffiness of the eyes and slow down age-related exchange violations.
